FAQs

Q. What safety and hygiene practices do you follow?

A. Safety and hygiene are my top priorities. I use disposable sponges for every child. All reusable tools are thoroughly sterilized, and my brushes go through a 3-step cleaning and sanitizing process after each event. My setup is kept clean and organized at all times to ensure a calm, safe experience for every child.

Q. What type of products do you use?

A. I use professional, FDA-approved face paints and high-quality cosmetic products only. All glitters and gems are cosmetic-grade and safe for children. Cleanliness, product quality, and child safety are always my top priorities.

Q. Are there times when you cannot paint someone?

A. Yes. For safety reasons, I do not paint over open wounds, sores, broken skin, or irritated areas. I may also decline painting if a child has a heavy runny nose or appears unwell, as comfort and hygiene are very important.

Q. Allergy or skin reactions?

A. Skin reactions are possible, as everyone’s skin is different. I use only professional, FDA-approved face paints and cosmetic-grade products. I have over 25 years in art, and I am also a mother of four children, so I regularly test designs on myself and my own kids. All paints, glitters, and gems are safe for use around the eyes and mouth. A small test on the hand can always be done before painting.

Q. How is the face paint removed?

A. Face paint can be safely removed using:

  • Soap and warm water with a soft washcloth

  • Baby wipes

  • Micellar water

  • Gentle children’s cosmetic oil

Apply gently, without scrubbing. If any paint remains, repeat the process.

Q. How much space is needed for setup?

A. I require approximately 5 × 5 feet of space. I provide my own table, chair for the child, and a display of design options. For larger events, additional setup options can be discussed.

Q. What areas do you service?

A. I provide face painting services throughout the Greater St. Louis area, including St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Lincoln County, Franklin County, Warren County, and Jefferson County.

Q. How does payment work?

A. A $40 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm and reserve your event date and time. Bookings are not secured without a deposit.

Accepted payment methods include Venmo, PayPal, cash, and checks. The remaining balance must be paid no later than the event day, before services begin.
